1. What is ZenKit?
ZenKit is a Chrome browser extension that enhances the Zendesk Support agent interface. It adds productivity tools including a close-all-tabs button, starred ticket bookmarks, and a personal notes feature — all operating entirely within your browser.
2. Data We Collect
We collect no data whatsoever. ZenKit does not collect:
- Personally identifiable information (name, email, etc.)
- Zendesk ticket content or customer data
- Browsing history or activity
- Cookies or tracking identifiers
- Usage analytics or crash reports
3. Local Data Storage
ZenKit stores the following data locally in your browser
using localStorage, only on your own device:
- Your starred ticket IDs, titles, and URLs
- Personal notes you write for individual tickets
- Your UI preferences (dock position, panel mode, etc.)
This data never leaves your browser. It is not synced, not uploaded, and not accessible by anyone other than you.
4. Permissions
ZenKit requests one permission:
- Access to
*.zendesk.com— Required to inject the ZenKit interface into the Zendesk agent page. The extension only activates on Zendesk URLs and does not run on any other websites.
ZenKit does not request access to tabs, history, cookies, or any other browser data.
5. Third Parties
ZenKit does not share any data with third parties. It contains no analytics, no advertising, no tracking pixels, and no external network requests of any kind. All code runs locally in your browser.
6. Remote Code
ZenKit does not use any remote code. All JavaScript and CSS is bundled within the extension package. No external scripts are loaded or evaluated.
7. Children's Privacy
ZenKit is a professional productivity tool intended for Zendesk support agents. It is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect any information from children.
8. Changes to This Policy
If this policy is updated, the new version will be published at this URL with a revised date. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
